1905
Rotary was formed by Mr. Paul Percival Harris.

1920
The wives of Rotarians in Great Britain & Ireland joined hands to hands to help their husbands with social works undertaken by Rotary.

10th January 1924
The inaugural meeting of 1st Club, IWC Manchestar (Great Britain) was held in Herriots. Baths when the name “Inner Wheel” was adopted. Mrs. Oliver Golding was the founder president and Mrs. Nixon as secretary. The first 6 rules were agreed upon.
10th January is now celebrated as the International Inner Wheel Day.

1928
The first District was formed in Great Britain & Ireland called No. 5 Inner Wheel District Committee corresponding Rotary District 5. Clubs were Manchester, Liverpool, Macclesfield, Nelson, St. Helens, and Warrington.

1931
The first overseas club was founded in Ballarat Australia.

1934
The 79 Clubs in Great Britain & Ireland agreed to form the ASSOCIATION OF INNER WHEEL CLUBS GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND & rapidly became a global movement.

Since 1936
Newly formed Inner Wheel Clubs were given a Certificate of Membership of  “The Charter”.

1946
1st Club in Asia was IWC of Singapore

1st July 1967
The Associasion of IW Clubs changed it name to International Inner Wheel. The first board meeting was held in Copenhagen. Five board members were present from Denmark, G.B. & I Netherlands, Norway & Sweden.  Mrs. Lavender Weightman became the first I.I.W. President

1970
First INTERNATIONAL INNER WHEEL Convention held at Hague & Inner Wheel Day was 1st celebrated.

1976
The Association of I.W. Club in India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh was formed.

2001
The 1st Margarette Golding Award presentation was held.

1979
1st Inner Wheel Club in Bangladesh, IWC of Chittagong was formed at Chittagong.  Club President-    Sultana Nizam, Club Secretary- Dr. Shireen Huq

1985-86
The first INNER WHEEL DISTRICT in Bangladesh was D328  that was formed with  5 (five) Inner Wheel Clubs. They are IWC of Agrabad, IWC of Dhaka, IWC of Dhaka South, IWC of Khulna & IWC of Khulna North. Chairman- Prof.RoushanAraRahman, Secretary- Rehana Jalal

1st elect International Inner Wheel Board Director- Dilruba Ahmed

2000
Receiver of Oliver Golding Award- Dilruba Ahmed, I.I.W.R/Board Director (1995-96) & Prof. Roushan Ara Rahman, I.I.W.R/Board member (1988-89)

2014-15
INNER WHEEL DISTRICT, 345 was formed with 10 (ten) Clubs; that are IWC of Agrabad, IWC of Brahmanbaria Titas, IWC of Chittagong, IWC of Comilla, IWC of Dhaka, IWC of Dhaka Buriganga, IWC of Dhaka North, IWC of Dhaka North West, IWC of Dilkusha & IWC of Feni Central. Founder & convener- Dilruba Ahmed.

1st District Executive Committee Member (2014-15), Chairman- Ruzina Afzal, Vice Chairman-I- Khaleda Awwal, Vice Chairman-II- Lovely Bayzied, Secretary- Sharmin Hossain,Treasuter- Mohsena Reza, Extension Organiser     Munira Khan, I.S.O.-Angela Boishakhi Mendes, Editor- Tahia Khalil
